finally got around to ‘my week with marilyn’!

have been waiting for a link to come online forever and found one, yay! absolutely breathtaking. loved the scenery, the script, the actors. just so heartbreaking considering we all know how her story ends, and she’s so desperately trying to be loved and be happy.

but i digress. michelle williams was phenomenal. couldn’t take your eyes off of her. it’s unfortunate that the best actress category is so freakin’ strong this year because michelle wholeheartedly deserves it for being marilyn. not acting, but being her. it was kind of frightening! however, i’m 99.9% sure the oscar’s going to viola and i also have no problem with that, either, because she had a knock-out performance in the help.

eddie redmayne was such a boy in love. thoroughly enjoyed watching my bb ginge on-screen. kenneth branagh was solid but i’m not entirely convinced he deserved the oscar nom, despite the fact that he is an amazing actor. he just didn’t stand out in this movie for me. dame judi dench, on the other hand, did. emma watson was cute if slightly useless. i guess she showed how everyone else disappears when marilyn’s around. well, it worked.

overall, fantastic. highly recommended and just a little side note: michelle williams, please turn it out on the oscar red carpet. would it be too on-the-nose to bring out the marilyn?
